With government agencies and private companies adding vast amounts of routinely-isolated data in unrelated databases and still churning paper reports every day - databases, spreadsheets, and reports now exist in different formats, on different servers, and each with their own metadata and codes. Gathering and analyzing this data has become so expensive and time consuming that much of it had gone unused.

Through more than two decades of relentless pursuit of ecological data aggregation and analytics, the founders of EcoBlu Analyst have pioneered big data analytics for stream, wetland and habitat banking. EcoBlu Analyst v6.0, just released in Beta, is built in partnership between Trout Headwaters, Inc (THI) and Esri. The platform has already begun increasing the availability and quality of environmental data to Esri users, giving them improved decision-making for sustainable planning and design.

“We are excited to now leverage the more than 45 million environmental data points running in the EcoBlu Analyst platform and open up that value for Esri users across the globe. We have been working directly with Esri to tailor v6.0 of the platform for improved navigation and versatility in support of holistic environmental resource conservation, restoration and management,” said Michael Sprague, product developer and CEO of Trout Headwaters, Inc (THI).

As this new platform expands, EcoBlu Analyst and partner Esri will develop offerings for organizations focused on development of green and grey infrastructure, land stewardship, and a variety of other conservation and ecological restoration opportunities.
