Savvy ecosystem market pros looking to master the power of environmental big data attended the “Game Change – Mitigation Analyst 3.0” workshop” today at the National Mitigation & Ecosystem Banking Conference in Ft. Worth, Texas. Mitigation and conservation bankers, regulators, and NGO representatives all got a glimpse of how easy it is to use the latest version of the big data tool to make better ecosystem project and investment decisions. THI built the cloud-based, user-friendly system for the National Mitigation Banking Association (NMBA) and since its release, NMBA members have enjoyed the drastic reduction in research time and confidence knowing the data they are using is the most current available. Stephen Thor Johnson of North American Land Trust said “Mitigation Analyst is an unbelievable tool that makes these governmental databases more understandable. I'm really excited to get the 30 day free trial and kick the tires around. Worth the price of admission!” THI CEO and Mitigation Analyst developer Mike Sprague and THI VP of Information Services Lisa Marr presented the 90 minute workshop to an enthusiastic crowd and afterwards, Sprague shared that “Sometimes we can actually see the ‘ah-ha” moment when these really smart people realize they can harness the muscle of big data to create easily understood charts and graphs that unlock hidden ecosystem investment factors, in just a fraction of the time.” Sprague added “At THI, we believe any tool or process that helps get better environmental restoration projects to ground is a big win for not only our industry, but more importantly, our planet”.
