Too Much Environmental Data?

Trout Headwaters was honored to be invited to last week’s National Conversation on Integrated Water Information for the 21st Century in Washington D.C. The conference was sponsored by the U.S. Water Partnership and brought together hundreds of government, non-profit, and private industry representatives to explore ways public-private partnerships could deliver more robust and integrated water-related data, information, and prediction services to help communities and businesses manage risk, build resilience, and plan for the future. One recurring sentiment we heard from participants was “There is too much data out there to practically use”. At THI, our focus for many years now has been on turning mounds of raw data into smart, usable, information through sophisticated analytics tools.  In fact, we built the low-cost, powerful, and interactive big data platform, EcoBlu Analyst, specifically to tame the overwhelming amount of available environmental data. If you still think there is too much environmental data out there to use, you are simply using the wrong big data tools.  Subscribe to EcoBlu Analyst here or watch an EcoBlu Analyst demonstration HERE.
